White Rabbit LLC (“White Rabbit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) creates and distributes stories, music, videos, and activities for young children and their families. This policy explains how we collect, use, and share personal information through whiterabbit.kids and our related communications. It also explains the choices available to parents, caregivers, educators, sponsors, and other visitors.
Information you provide. Adults may provide their name, email address, organization, telephone number, and the contents of a message when contacting us, requesting information, discussing a partnership or sponsorship, or signing up for updates. Please do not include a child’s name, photograph, voice recording, health information, school records, or other identifying details in a message.
Technical information. Our hosting provider and website services may process IP addresses, browser and device information, referring pages, pages visited, and access times to deliver the website, maintain security, and diagnose problems. Cookies and similar technologies may also process information as described below.
Partner information. Schools and distribution partners may provide adult business contact information and aggregate information about participation and program use. We do not ask partners to provide identifiable student records for sponsor reporting.
We use information to respond to inquiries; communicate with adults who request updates; manage sponsorships and partnerships; provide requested resources; understand overall use of our offerings; maintain and improve the website; prevent misuse; and comply with legal obligations. We do not use children’s personal information for targeted advertising or commercial profiling.
Our creative content is made for young children, while contact forms, newsletter signups, and business communications are intended for adults. We do not offer child accounts or invite children to submit personal information, photographs, recordings, or artwork online. Children can enjoy our publicly available materials without submitting information through our forms.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through forms or submissions. If we learn that a child has provided personal information without the authorization required by law, we will delete it unless a lawful exception permits limited retention. A parent or caregiver can contact us using the details below to report a submission.
Technical identifiers can also be personal information under children’s privacy laws. On child-directed portions of our services, any collection must be limited to uses permitted by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), such as supporting internal operations where its requirements are met, or occur only after the required notice and verifiable parental consent. An adult-only label on a form does not remove these obligations.
If we introduce a feature that collects children’s personal information, we will first provide the required notices, obtain any required verifiable parental consent, and explain the information collected, its use, recipients, and retention. Parents may review their child’s information, request deletion, and refuse further collection or use, subject to applicable law. We will verify parental authority using only information reasonably necessary for that purpose.
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies for essential functionality, security, and measuring website use. Browser settings can restrict or delete cookies, although some features may be affected. Where legally required, we will obtain consent before activating nonessential technologies and provide a way to change that choice.
Videos may be linked to or embedded from services such as YouTube or Vimeo. Depending on how a player is configured, a provider may receive technical information when a page loads or when a video is played. Third-party platforms operate under their own privacy policies. We must configure integrations used in child-directed experiences to meet applicable children’s privacy requirements; linking to a provider’s policy does not replace our responsibilities.
Service providers. We may share information with providers that support website hosting, security, communications, and related operations, only as needed for their work and subject to appropriate protections.
Sponsors and partners. We may report aggregate reach and engagement to sponsors and distribution partners. We do not give sponsors identifiable information about children or lists of family contact details for their marketing. If an adult asks us to make an introduction to a partner, we may share the contact information needed with that adult’s permission.
Legal and business needs. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of business assets, subject to applicable privacy requirements.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including appropriate legal, accounting, and security needs, and then delete or deidentify it. Children’s personal information, if lawfully collected, is retained only for the specific purpose disclosed to parents and is not kept indefinitely.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No website, transmission method, or storage system can guarantee complete security.
Adults may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or contact us to stop receiving updates. We may still send communications necessary to respond to an active request or manage a relationship.
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Depending on your location and whether applicable laws cover our activities, you may also have rights to obtain a copy of information, restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, or appeal a denied request. We will handle requests within the time required by applicable law, may need to verify your identity, and will explain any lawful reason we cannot fulfill a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Links to PBS stations, sponsors, partners, video platforms, or other websites lead to services with their own privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
We may update this policy as our services or practices change. We will post the updated policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by law.
